Model # 58030 This West Bend Coffee Maker is reasonably priced for such a large coffee maker and it comes from a company with a reputation for making quality products. But does the 58030 stand up to the test? The exterior of this West Bend Coffeemaker features a polished aluminum exterior that keeps its shine. Aside from that it's just another coffeemaker and not particularly ascetically appealing. The coffeemaker is easy to prepare if you have a faucet that is tall enough otherwise you will have to fill up a pitcher and transfer it over to the pot. It has been designed to make between 12 and 30 cups of coffee and works just as well for 30 cups as it does for 12. The last cup is just as good as the first (no burnt taste). The spigot is durable and easy to use but it's hard to get a large coffee cup under. So if your favorite coffee mug oversized you might want to consider that before buying. Having said that, most coffee cups and mugs will fit under it without problems. While it does have a "cool-tip filter basket", the rest of the machine will be hot after you make a pot of coffee. Our tests showed that the outside got to about 170 degrees which is definitely hot enough to get a squeak out of you. That's probably the most common problem with coffeemakers and this one is no worse than most. The brewing time breaks down to be about 1 cup every minute which is very acceptable and the serving temperature of the coffee is a perfect 185 degrees. This particular West Bend Coffeemaker is easy to disassemble and clean which consequently makes it easy to travel with. Ours has been with us on a camping trip or two and makes heating water for tea or hot chocolate a breeze. It's also quite light which makes carrying it easier even when it's full. We have owned this West Bend Coffeemaker for over two years now and it has proven to be very reliable. In that time I have recommended this coffeemaker to many friends and theirs have proven to be just a reliable. Pros Reliable Makes Great Coffee (From the First Cup to the Last) Easy to Use and Clean Cons Gets a Bit Hot Difficult to Use with Oversized Coffee Cups The Bottom Line: If you like peculated coffee, the reasonable price tag and quality of the West Bend Coffee Maker is hard to beat!
