Making Ice Cream in a Coffee Can |
Although we don't sell out coffee in a coffee can we thought that the idea of making ice cream in a coffee can was really interesting, not to mention delicious. Using a small 1 lb. coffee can and a large coffee 3 lb. coffee can you can recreate an ice cream maker in your own home. If you are feeling a little bit crafty, grab the kids and some of the best homemade ice cream you have ever tasted. Ice Cream in a Coffee Can 1 lb Coffee Can 3 lb Coffee Can 1/2 cup of Sugar 1 cup of Heavy Cream 1 cup of Light Cream 1 Egg, beaten 1 cup of Rock Salt 1 pound of Crushed Ice 1 tbsp of Instant Vanilla Pudding 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract Start by whisking together the sugar, instant pudding, egg, heavy cream, light cream and vanilla extract in a medium sized mixing bowl. Keep whisking until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Now, pour this mixture into the smaller coffee can. Cover the top with plastic wrap and replace the lid. You can use duct tape to seal the lid on firmly. Place the smaller coffee can into the larger one and fill the empty space with crushed ice and sprinkle in the rock salt.
