A coffee maker is for making just coffee, right? Wrong. While most people look at a coffee maker and know that it makes coffee, some resourceful and imaginative person decided to try and use it for something else. Now you can also make ice tea using your coffee maker. Not only is it easy, but it tastes great too. Maple Syrup Iced Tea Use about 3-4 teaspoons of real maple syrup and add it to the bottom of the glass decanter. Now brew tea, using a coffee percolator. When the tea is brewed and cooled a little bit, pour it into the decanter and stick it in the fridge until it gets cold. Add ice and serve. Almond Vanilla Iced Tea . ½ a teaspoon of vanilla extract . ½ a teaspoon of almond extract . ¼ cup of fresh lemon juice . ½ a cup of sugar . A decanter (quart) of tea brewed in a coffee maker Once the tea is brewed, add the ingredients to the tea, and chill. Add ice and serve. Besides these two wonderful recipes, you could also try making your own brews. Try making green tea, using a coffee percolator. Add sugar to taste. You could also try adding cinnamon, or any other type of spice you think might go well with tea. It's all up to you. How adventurous can you be? Besides, if you don't like your home made brew, you're only out water, tea and some sugar etc. It's not expensive to fail, and it might be fun to try. | |
