Are you in the mood for some gourmet spicy coffee? Then you have come to the right place. Adding some spice to your coffee is easy and some of our favorite coffee recipes are spicy; coffee with a kick! While the list of gourmet spicy coffee recipes is quite long we have selected three of our favorites for this article but feel free to experiment as much as you like. Just remember that unless otherwise directed, the best way to make spicy coffee is to add the spice to the coffee grounds before you brew it. Spiced Coffee RecipesSpicy Viennese Coffee For the Topping: 5 oz of Heavy Cream 1 tbsp of Sugar 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon, ground For the Coffee: 3 cups of Coffee, brewed 2 Cinnamon Sticks 4 Cloves 1/2 tsp of Allspice Berries To prepare the Topping: Whip up the cream until soft peaks form then gently whip in the sugar. Chill the cream in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it. In a small saucepan, combine the coffee, cinnamon sticks, cloves and allspice. Heat on low; do not boil. Cook it on low heat for about 10 minutes allowing the flavors to combine. Strain the mixture into mugs and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Mediterranean Coffee 3 tbsp of Ground Coffee, coarse 2 tsp of Sugar 1 tsp of Cinnamon 1 tsp of Cocoa Powder 1 tsp of Anise Seed, whole Pinch of Orange Peel, dried Combine all the ingredients and brew by your favorite method. We recommend using a French press but an automatic drip coffee maker will also work well. Spicy Mexican Mocha 8 oz Hot Cocoa, hot 1/2 tsp of Cinnamon A pinch of Chili Powder 1 oz of Espresso OR 1/4 cup of Extra Strong Dark Roasted Coffee Whipped Cream, to top Add the cinnamon, chili powder, and espresso (or coffee) to the hot cocoa.
