Frappuccino Coffee Drink Recipes
Frozen coffee drinks can cost quite a bit of money when bought at a coffee shop but you can save yourself some money and just make them at home. It's easy, quick, and much less expensive. Besides that, you might just enjoy the taste of your own better than that of the coffee shop frappuccino. After all, if you make it yourself, you can always play with the quality and quantity of the ingredients to suit your own tastes.
Below, you will find two frappuccino coffee drink recipes. The first uses powdered coffee, and the other uses grounds. Try them both, and see which you prefer.
Frappuccino (powdered variety)
. 2 tablespoons of instant espresso powder
. ½ a cup of hot water
. 2 cups of ice cubes
. ½ a cup of sweetened condensed milk
The first thing you need to do is to dissolve the espresso powder in the hot water and let it cool to room temperature. Next take the espresso water and add it to the rest of the ingredients in a blender. Blend until there are no visible chunks of ice, and serve.
Frappuccino (made with ground coffee)
. ¾ of a cup of strong espresso
. 3 tablespoons of sugar
. 1 cup of milk
. 1 teaspoon of pectin
. 1 cup of ice cubes
Stir the sugar into the espresso and let it cool to room temperature. Once the coffee has cooled, stir in the milk and pectin, making sure that the pectin is completely dissolved before moving on to the next step.
Add the entire mixture, and the ice cubes, into a blender and blend to desired consistency. Typically there should be no chunks of ice visible.
