Coffee Party Recipes

Having a party, even a coffee party, can be a scary experience. You want everything to be perfect, but what exactly do you serve with coffee anyhow?

The answer to that question is dependent upon what kind of coffee you're serving. For instance, if you are serving a light roast, you're best to go with something fruit based such as blueberry muffins or lime tarts. You can also use anything that is plain tasting, such as loaves, cookies or plain cakes.

If you plan on serving a medium roast coffee, you can try serving spiced deserts, such as apple pie or carrot cake. You can also use chocolate to enhance the flavor of the coffee, by serving such things as chocolate chip cookies.

If you're serving a dark roast coffee, you're best off to go with something that tastes like coffee, such as coffee cake. You could also try serving something like cheesecake or whole grain loaves. Chocolate covered strawberries are also a delicious way of enjoying the experience of having a nice cup of dark roast coffee.

Below you will find a recipe for making cannolis. These tasty treats can be made in about ten minutes, and go great with a medium roast coffee.

Cannolis
. 1 container (32 ounces) of ricotta cheese
. ¾ cups of powdered sugar
. ½ teaspoon of vanilla
. ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
. ½ a cup of miniature semi sweet chocolate chips
. 12 cannoli shells (These can be found in specialty grocery stores.)

Once you've got all the ingredients, blend them together (saving the chocolate chips till last) and refrigerate for a half hour.

Then fill the cannoli shells with mixture, and voila, you have a delicious treat to give your coffee party guests.
