Toraja - The market name for one of the best coffees grown in Indonesia.

Turkish Coffee - A style of coffee drinking where the coffee is ground into a fine powder and sweetened. It is served with the grounds still in the coffee.

Typica - A variety of Arabica coffee bean. Typica is one of the oldest and most respected varieties of coffee in the world.

Vacuum Brewing - A method of brewing coffee in which hot water is sucked through coffee grounds using a vacuum.

Varietal - A term which refers to coffee made from a single country, region and crop.

Viennese Roast - A synonym for coffee beans roasted to medium dark, somewhere between medium brown and dark roast. This roasting style results in a smoother cup of coffee but also sacrifices some of flavor.

Vintage Coffee - Refers to coffee which has been kept in storage for several years leaving it with reduced acidity and increased body. Traditionally, aged coffee is held longer than "old crop coffees" and "mature coffees". However, some coffee exporters have been experimenting with accelerated aging by deliberately exposing the coffee to humid air.

Wet Processing - The process in which coffee is prepared by removing the fruit from the coffee beans before drying them. This is most popular method for preparing coffee and most of the best coffee in the world are prepared using this method.

Whole Bean - Coffee which has been roasted but not ground.
